Hi. i have an SPV, and i have noticed that, at random, sometimes the backlight fails to turn off, as does the screen after the set time limit. is this a notorious problem? the only way i seem to be able to fix it is by turning off the phone and turning it back on again.

any suggestions?

I sometimes have this problem. There may be an application still running even though you are at the homescreen. I use Task Manager to close all non system apps this usually does the trick. Saves having to switch off/on again!

You need to have your SPV unlocked to be able to run Task Manager.

Noticed that too, it happend to me when i pressed the home button while i was in MVP! the back light just stayed on,had to go bak to MVP and exit it properly.

You can also go back into SettingsPower Management to fix it as well.

You may find that that the settings are still correct but if you press Done anyway

it still works to turn the back light off :? Strange but true.

i get this-i also find that it will turn on & off by its self a few time when its charging

If it's plugged in to the cradle it will for some reason, no one has posted why

but it's probably down to the PC talking to the phone.

light popping on while charging is usually it checking/reaquiring cell data. or power cycling, it chargest to ~99% then drop and discharges to ~95%

Or you may have a demanding phone, it just wants you to look at it! :)
