Guest anne Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 :( Hello, i just wanted to ask some advice about my phone. It's about the Desktop XP that im using, when I go to my SMS messages its seems that i have 29messages written there (unread) but when i open my inbox, i have nothing or no new messages to be read. What can I do to correct this? thanks in advance i would really appreciate it. :)
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 Sounds like ActiveSync's getting confused during the sync process (as usual). Are you sync'ing with your PC's inbox?
Guest anne Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 :) i really dont use much my sync coz its always bugging me. i mean, if i start to sync my pc with my phone there's always something error that would appear. I really dont know how to fix it. Anyway, maybe that's the problem huh? One friend of mine told me that i need to re-boot my cellphone and it would not be a good part on me, coz I know am going to lose my contacts and my messages in my inbox, and I dont want that to happen  if there's an other way to fix it, i would... THanks:) so kind of you to help me. MWAH!
Guest jim80b Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 umm rebooting the phone meaning turning off then on again should not lose contacts or inbox... i had i problem with active sync but i deleted all partnerships, reinstalled it and it was fine. when asked what to do with my contacts i replaced with the ones on the pc as that was created from the phone from before. in your case i would replace from phone and it would put all the contacts from the phone into outlook. same should happen with inbox (not sms though) as long as you dont do a hard reset you should be fine
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 when I go to my SMS messages its seems that i have 29messages written there (unread) but when i open my inbox, i have nothing or no new messages to be read. Do you mean you phone is showing 29 SMS but you do not have any unread SMS on the phone?
Guest caio1 Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Here's the fix: http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...ighlight=dbview Note that when it says "1. use regedit..." he means "1. use dbview" and you just need to the delete the very last key not both. Caio
