Guest mataus Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 When recieving an SMS message how come the sender's name does not appear, only the mobile number, date and time is shown even though the sender's details or located in the contacts list. Cheers
Guest Will Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 you need to make the contacts number correctly formatted. ie +44 xxxx xxxxxxx . For an automatic way to do this, check out the 'outlook contact reformatter' on monolithix's site www.monolithix.org Will
Guest mataus Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 Cheers for that, thought it might be something simple. All the best Matt
Guest ambro Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 what i did to cover this was have each of my contacts in this format Name : XXX Home: 015451515155 Mobile: 07848119232 Pager: +447848119232 for example instead of changing the mobile number i just changed the +44 bit into the pager number instead... works a treat =)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 ambro Apart from making more work for yourself why bother entering the number again under pager? sorry I don't understand the point of doing this :?
Guest ambro Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 lol i had a program which copied the numbers over.. thort it would be easier than saving all the numbers +44
