Guest celsol Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 SXP2* featuring callface Based on my old WinSXP* theme with a direct link to Callface and a fullscreen display to see (mostly) everything. Mostly created to show versatility of callface  hope you like. Celsol *original graphics (not borrowed from others)sxp2_ani1.gifzcallface_ani1.gifSXP2.zip
Guest meaks Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 Very nice - loving the callface - But could you do the extra screens as well to make it a complete theme? For example the volume and information screens etc... Cheers

For example the volume and information screens etc... Cheers If you really want it :) gimme some time though, all this stuff is ruining my social life
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 Not allowed a social life you have got too much work to do :) one question sorry I never used the original version of this screen. The first page is white with just the date plugin in the bottom? am i ment to put my own image in here? Also the date and time is in white so it is hard to see :? Apart from that thanks again for a cool skin :(
Guest muude Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 The .cab really isn't working for me... Tried it a gazillion times, but still nothing... Comes up with an error screen.
Guest dinoalbert Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 not working for me too....always got an error message "Installation failed. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have adequate system permissions. Please contact your service provider for more info" although I have 4Mb space left in IPSM and 10Mb in SD
Guest Fonefanatik Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Read in another thread that it should work on both locked and unlocked phones.
Guest caio1 Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 The prog itself yes, because it's an html page, but the cab won't if it's not signed (AFAIK). Caio
Guest Sweevo_uk Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 I got the same error message about system permissions when I installed it - I realised that I had a previous version of the skin installed, so I changed back to the standard homescreen and tried a reinstall and it worked!
Guest Fonefanatik Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Ic.Works fine on my fone(De-cert) but for those who haven't de-certified couldn't they just un-zip the cab file on their pc then manually sync the files onto their storage card?
Guest caio1 Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 @fonefanatik no, as in cab the file aren't correctly named. However I think they all have the problem sorted by Sweevo_uk: they should set a different skin before upgrading their SXP2 skin. Caio
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 I don't think it installs correctly as noted above, I had to find the correct image to place as Background. At least I understand the problem I had earlier :)
Guest muude Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Just to sort somthin out: I'm running a de-certed phone with "Hello Kitty" as the only skin installed... Tried everything, but can't get it to work...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 When I installed it I had to go into settings and manually set it to actually get it to work. But I did not get any errors when I installed it though.
Guest Tosh Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Also having problems with hme file. Have been using CELSOL'S SXP & SXP + skins since they were published. Never had a glitch. Removed all traces of those themes, rebooted and tried the hme. Got the same error message as everyone else. My SPV is unlocked etc and running a variety of unsigned apps. Any ideas? Tony
Guest dinoalbert Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Im using the Tanager still can not install the theme even followed suggestion by sweevo.
Guest celsol Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Sorry guys, been away for a while. Don't quite understand why it does not want to install for some of you so below I have attached manual install files. In settings select 'SXP2' as Layout, leave Colour scheme & Background image to 'Default' Will have another look at the cab tonightsxp2.zip
Guest ormstont Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 It works fine on my phone! I was wondering though whether it was possible to get any files for the images with layers so the background can be replaced. I really like the skin but it'd be great if I could apply my own backgrounds. I've tried just changing the background but that doesn't work on all screens. Thanks in advance :)
Guest celsol Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 sorry its a bit late  Extra screens for this theme (can also be used with SXP & SXPplus) Nothing spectacular, keeping the smartphones basic images, just adding a themed background. Instructions: Copy images from the zip to somewhere on your phone (eg 'IPSM' directory) fire up PHM Reg editor and alter the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:ErrorBox {Values} BKBitmapFile from Windowsyell.gif to : IPSMyell.gif HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:ExclamationBox {Values} BKBitmapFile from Windowsyell.gif to : IPSMyell.gif HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:InformationBox {Values} BKBitmapFile from Windowsinfo.gif to : IPSMinfo.gif HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:QuestionBox {Values} BKBitmapFile from Windowsques.gif to : IPSMques.gif HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:VolDlg {Values} BKBitmapFile from Windowsvolume.gif to : IPSMvolume.gif I personally do not like cab's tinkering with the registry so I have not created one.sxp_xtra.jpgsxp_xtra.zip
Guest Honest John Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 I think I may have missed something here. I have installed Callface beta 4 and it works. Using your skin, when I go to the CallFace option on the main screen, I find it goes to Internet Explorer then comes back with "alert The page you are looking for can't be found". Any suggestions? Should have read other posts. You need the CallFace plug in. Which brings me to another problem. Got the Help file etc and pictures of your girlfriends and the Simpsons. However............ When I copy the 2 HTML files over to my PC, I only get the pictures - no text if I try to edit it with Word. With Notepad, I get crap. Any advice?

Callface beta 4  ....... only ever done one version. This was posted on the Callface thread in software but i'll put it here too, hope it helps. If you are having problems with Word use Wordpad Editing 1. Activesync to phone. 2. Explore Storage Cardcallface. 3. Copy 'callface.htm' to somewhere on your PC. 4. Open Word or Wordpad (not Notepad or it'll look a mess) on your PC 5. Select 'Files of type' to 'All Documents (*.*)' File > open find the 'callface.htm' you just copied and open it You should now be looking at the source. 7. Look at all the bits between 8. Enter your own contacts tel no's and images where shown Images You will need to create/edit resize some images For 9 faces to display on a callface sceen, images should be 57 x 57 pixels You can also have 16 images (shown below) For 16 faces, images should be 43x43 pixels Once you are done editing copy back all the files back to Storage Cardcallface directory.
Guest Honest John Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Thanks. WordPad worked, although Word and, of course, notepad didn't. Strange............1st time Word has not allowed me to edit a HTML file. You live and learn. Callface is excellent, by the way!
