phone reset some of its settings? activ sync?

orange SPV :shock:

i switched my phone off and then on again and some of the setting reset themselves like the home screen and my profile settings and some program registration data. all my other data is intact like contacts and diary. but now when i try to run Activ sync it asks me if i want to se up a new accont with outlook. how do i go about getting it to work with the old account? ne ideas? ne 1 know why it reset itself in the first place?

In activsync (with the phone removed) go to FileDelete Partnership

Place the phone in the cradle and then create the partnership you had before.

Have you decerted you phone? as if you check you may find that has been certification locked again :)

This can happen for a number of reasons... Letting the battery get too low or more usual

some dodgy or corrupt xml code causing an error in the registry.

The phone has a self repair facility that if it finds errors in the registry it trys to automatically repair them.
