Guest drblow Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Hermanjelmet - Welcome to the forum!! & Don't panic - nothings ever quite as complicated as it seems when you have MoDaCo to fall back on!! If you just want to play mpegs - then the best thing to do is install Pocket TV (available for download in a link from this forum - a quick search will find it!). On the DL page, you will also see a link to a free prog for encoding mpeg to suit Pocket TV - so you format any mpegs you have on your PC to view on the phone. Then it's just a case of getting a bigger storage card so you can watch entire movies if you like! :) Of course, to install Pocket TV you will have to decertify the phone (from the software certification protection). This can be done easily by going to the Orange developers site - again a search on this will bring you plenty of results. Good luck - and don't hesitate to ask as many dumb questions as you think is necessary - everybody else does!!! :(
Guest EmpzB Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 I noticed something helpful in articles to do with encoding videos to .wme so taht they can play using Media Player (no need to unlock if yours isnt). The quality is much poorer and slower but is sooo easy to do (even i can do it :))
