Guest mashkhan Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Alien Resurrection is pants though, isnt it?
Guest James Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Alien Resurrection is pants though, isnt it? i dont think its the worst one though, Best one = Aliens No 2 = Alien No 3 = Alien Resurrection worst = Alien 3
Guest mashkhan Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 I dunno, IMO Best one = Alien No 2 = Aliens No3 Alien 3 Worst = Alien Resurrection. It doesn't really feel like an "Alien" film to me, suppose it something to do with the French director. A lot of people really hate Alien 3, but I always liked it. However it was butchered by Fox, if the studio heads would have stuck with David Fincher's version it could have been fantastic.
Guest James Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 i know what you mean about Alien Resurrection, its alot more 'arty' in parts as you can see stright from the opening title sequence, but i think this makes a refreshing chnage for this series of films. it is nowhere near as good as one or two but i am sticking by my guns about it being better than three. still, they all scare the s*** out of my girlfriend!
Guest mashkhan Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 I think the thing with Alien 3 is alot of people were expecting Aliens 1.5, more guns, more aliens, more marines. I remember when it came out, all my friends were disappointed when what we actually got was bald geezers including Ripley! swearing alot being killed off by a single alien with not a single big f***ing gun it sight. But it did take the trilogy in another direction and tried to remain true to the spirit of the original. I thought it would probably be the end of the series, but when the money men come knocking anything is possible and lo and behold we had Alien 4. Rumour has it there is going to be an Alien 5, which is going to be released on the 25th anniversary. Apparently Ridley Scott is going to direct.
Guest James Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 well i will wait and see....... got no space for that one in my collector case :) what is left to do in alien? will they come to earth and try to take it over.... and the americans will have to save the world! again!
