Guest froamer Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Hi, I've moved all my shortcuts so at the top level there are only folders. Very nicely organized and less key presses to get everywhere (only one page on the first programs screen as well). The problem is when I reset my phone the recent app icons across the home screen all point to standard shortcuts in their original positions and therefore dont work as well a look ugly. Any idea how I can change this? Thanks for any help.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Welcome to the site :) Because you have changed the location of the linksshortcuts you will just see the default icons. As long as you have decerted your phone you can and will need to install PHM Regedit (a registry editor) found at Mono's site Be carefull playing with the registry though. Then you need to follow the instuction's below (to save me making any mistakes ) taken from midnight's tweak site HOMESCREEN TWEAK Most Recently Used Ever wanted to change the default icons of the MRU? (the icons displaying Inbox, Contacts, Calendar, Internet Explorer etc) Fire up RegEdit, and go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Shell/StartMRU Select 'Values' Select 'InitialOrder' and now just change/add to the links (see the Start Menu Order Tweak for info on links in the IPSMWindowsStartMenu folder.
Guest froamer Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Wow - thanks you are a genius :). You have just made my startphone experience much much better - thank you. A note to anyone else who does this. The shortcuts appear in reverse order to what you enter in the registry value.
