Guest grifter Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 hi fellow SAPers! :) question lang po : Is it just me or is it a common thing for all SAP users that the signal meter rarely go up to 4 bars? I live in West Ave. and I only get 2 bars at home. At my ofc in makati, I only get 3 bars, sometimes 4 bars. But oftentimes just 3 bars. There are other links in this forum that claims that this is inherent to the SPV. I just want to confirm if this is also the case for the SPVx/Tanager/SAP. Any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
Guest BizMaster Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 I live here on Timog Ave and get 4 bars. In fact, it stays there. Only twice did i notice it dropping to 3 bars. My concern is the earpiece. Although set to max, mahina pa rin as compared to my other cellphones during a call. The speakerphone naman is useless unless you are on a very quiet room. fyi
Guest grifter Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 wow. good for you. what's your oprom version ba? mine is 1.3.6.7
Guest BizMaster Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 wow. good for you. what's your oprom version ba? mine is 1.3.6.7 I have the newer version 1.3.7.8. I was really dying to get a hold of the SAP when it was launched at the Podium but as the saying goes, isipin mo muna ng 100 beses. Well, after thinking it over and finally decided to get it, bumaba na ang plan sa 1335 and newer version pa ang rom. Now that is good for me... :)
Guest grifter Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 oh i see... hmm. Anyone else experiencing poor reception? Or poor reception compared to other phone units?
Guest ppcsurfr Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 Nope... mine seems to be working really well. Mabuhay ~ Carlo (ppcsurfr)
Guest derkins Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 i do. especially at home. about 1 to 2 bars max. i live in the timog area as well. i occassionally experience choppy reception. the person from the other line can hear me crystal but i don't. dunno if it's because of my location or some weird thing with the unit.
Guest T0722 Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 ako la problema with signal...or reception...using Globe btw.
Guest jabonga Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 me too, i have no problem sa signal lagi 4 bars, gamit ko globe. im from east ave.
Guest eric73ph Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 I had the same problem with my Tanager. Reception was poor and I get more dropped calls than a Nokia phone. I assume the upgrade should fix that.
Guest Lopio Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Im from Cebu, at the office i get 2 to 3 bars, but inside my house i get 1 to 2 bars, but outside my house i get max 3 bars.
