Hmm. My T9 has suddenly, and without my interference, started working again. Now it even saves smileys? It's survived 2x hard resets, and still not worked, and I booted the phone yesterday, replied to a message and saw that all was good again....I'm as happy as a pig in s**t :)

i have long given up using it for custom words! good to see you have got it working chris.

do you think there will be any chance of a app that will load a list of custom words into the dictionary whenever you start the phone up?

Or an app that will allow you to edit the whole dictionary yourself and save it as a t9xxx.dll (then just link that in the registry)

I've been trying to do it, bugger me if I can get the UDB opened in anything useful, I've tried everything :)

Hmm. all the talk of mst9.udb a while back got me thinking - it doesn't seem to have all the learned words there, quite the opposite in fact. Mine's full of apostrophed and hyphenated words, nothing more. Weirdness.

mono - try deleting your mst9.udb file from your SPV, see what happens.

I can confirm nuking mst9.udb will finish your stored t9 words

if you try modifying it you loose the ability switch from numbers to leters to t9! how strange?!

Yep, worked fine on restoration (then promptly forgot them again a few hours later hehe).

Gawd knows what's up with the T9 on my SPV? Now it's stopped learning words again. Doh! :evil:
