Guest Dodgyfeas Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 When I go into my inbox, all my messages only display the peoples mobile numbers. Is there a way to display the name of the person? Is there a setting I have not seen?? Cheers
Guest Palindrome Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Have you formatted the numbers in your contacts with the contry code at the start? IE. For England put +44 in front of the number and miss out the first 0 for the regional code. Eg. A (made up) phone number for London, England: 0207 1231234 would become +442071231234. If this sorts out the problem you can download an Outlook number reformatter. I think you can get it on Monolithix's freeware site: http://www.monolithix.org/SPV_software.html
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 I think you can get it on Monolithix's freeware site Also it can be found in the Articles section under Outlook Contact reformatter :)
Guest Dodgyfeas Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 I havee done that and still have the same problem. I have noticed that (not sure if it matters but Iam using my SPV on O2) that it displays the names of people who text me from Orange, but not from other networks.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Any spaces in your numbers? It won't update current messages, only messages you recieve prior to changing th format of the numbers...
Guest Dodgyfeas Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Can I use Activesync to sort out my phone numbers as they are all messed up. all the mobile numbers are stored under home numbers
Guest Brody Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Yes, you can edit numbers in Outlook and then sync them to your phone :)
