Please help! Trying to decertify!

Hi,

I went through all of the steps to decertify and I can't reet the phone. Each time I try I get a the canary screen. I DO NOT have a blank/dummy card inserted either. Please help as I have read through posts and can't seem to understand what to try next.

Are you able to turn on you phone at all?

If not then start by running the update from your country.

Then decert over the air from orange.developers site.

By far the easiest way to do it :wink:

Yes I can turn the phone on but I am in the US and can not use the Orange web site since I am not a customer, any other suggestions? I am in Cingular in NC and have a 256 meg card.

I still believe that you can unlock over the air.

All you need is you imei and your phone nr.

I tried that and it won't accept the phone number so I can 't make it work, anyone else know what I can do in the US.

Hmmm... Do you get any errors or anything? I live in Florida, use T-Mobile, just upgraded my phone on Sat to the latest version on the Orange site, and decertifyed it with their site no problems...

I upgraded the software while I was on the MV three color Canary screen and it worked.

When you go on their site to decertify are you entering the phone number in the format +01(space)1234567890? If not give that a try and let us know... Also, to get the correct IMEI enter *#06# in your phone as mentioned in the thread below...

See if this thread helps if what I mentioned above doesn't work... I think you should be able to get it to work if you read through this. If not, let us know if there are any errors or anything...
