simple but very useful app wanted - mute app!

hi guys,

could someone make a small application which sends out a mute command to all games and applications?

The thing is that even if you put the phone on silent mode you need to mute the games manually and it's very irritating if you can't do that.

I'm sure it's very simple, is someone up for it?

so you want an application that overrides all other applications that call the sound command?

not sure that can be done

what might be more possible is to get the games [well from now on] to look at the phone status - and if it is set to silent then switch the sound off automatically

not quite what you were after, but might be a good rule of thumb (no pun intended) for the future

The problem with that though, is if someone makes a closed source app, and doesn't put in the command to look at the profile, you'd be back where you started.
