I'm not too sure on wap sites .. I've never used it much!

As for messenger, it really doesn't use a lot of traffic! I should really try and test it ... I've been buggering myself to do so! I'll get right on it!

As for surfing in general, I have disabled pictures in my browser, and that way don't use as much traffic on seeing 'pictures' on various sites. It looks crap, but oh well...

There is a program that will keep track of how much traffic you use. You can find/buy it here:

>>Click Me

I think it's the only one at the moment, and I use it! (Will try and test out Messenger in a sec....)

As for leaving Messenger on .. it will receive some info and use traffic even though you aren't chatting .. I seem to remember someone testing this, but I forgot how much it was! It was 'fairly' much tho.... considering you weren't actually doing anything else...

Will get right back to ya after using MSN for a bit!

Okay a small test... would need some serious testing to make an accurate answer though, but here is what the first small test concluded:

I chatted on MSN for 5 minutes CONSTANTLY. We are talking a message sent and received every 10 seconds...

After the 5 minutes I had received 29,88 KB and Sent 21,68 KB. So that would cost me around 27 'øres'! Which is NUFFIN (100 øres to a kroner - around 10 kroners to a british pound :) )

I would say that there's no need to spend as much as £15, i fairly regularly use my GPRS but for nothing too heavy, the odd site (HTML and not WAP) and messenger on occasion and i normally use about 5 or 6 meg. Hope this helps!

I don't use WAP sites but according to Orange 1 Megabyte equals 1200 WAP pages.

They also say it equals about 20 web pages or 100 emails without attachments.

Hope that helps.
