Alyson hannigan skin

Does anyone know how to change the background picture of the Alyson hannigan auto install skin from coolsmartphone as ive tried everything but cant seem to change it,id like to change it to a picture of somthing to do with the spv,Thanks

in the xml file there is one line that states which image to use... see if it is there... change it to the image you want to show. That is if yiu can't simply change it via the settings panel.

I think the settings panel would be your best bet as i've looked into it and unless the link on coolsmartphone has changed then you've downloaded an .hme file so you wont be able to edit it.

Er, if you want to change just the backgound image with another on your phone, go Settings; Homescreen; move down to Background and then select your new image :)

Much easier than messing with the XML

Here's a related question...if the XML specifies the background image...will the Settings > Home > Background setting override it?

I dont have an example (and I am lazy) or I would try it.

All a home file does is put the JPG and xml files in the IPSM/Applicationdata/home folder--so you could go into this folder and change that JPG file if you want to edit it.

if you want a totally different background just put the JPG in the above folder then go to settings/homescreen and change the background image.

But if the XML SPECIFIES the background image will the home settings override it?

not if u override it by choosing a background. the xml's background will only show if u have it set to default.

just change settinghome screenbackground to something different. (like what richie said)

to get the background to appear as a choice copy the image to ispmapp datahome (like mecx said)

you've downloaded an .hme file so you wont be able to edit it.

Surely if you install the .hme file then to get the xml just activesync to IPSM/Application data/home

- the xml file will be in there for you to copy to your desktop & edit to death!!

Ive tried changing the background through settings and the xml but part of the previous background are shown when you highlight the different plugins
