Installing New Software

Hi I have been trying to load new software onto my SPV recently with no success. I have some map software that came with MS-Autoroute and also I have purchased a full copy of all-explore. When I install, the screen says okay, the SPV displays downloading .cab file momenterily then returns to the home screen.

Also I only have 640k left on the phone memory (which is still enough for All-Explore) what is anything can I move to my 128Mb SD card and how??

Please can someone help !

Jase

Goto the following:

IPSM > Windows > AppMgr > Install and you will find the CAB there, just click on it.

You will probably have more CAB files there that you don't need, delete them

That folder has nothing to do with a de-certed phone, it is simply a folder of .cabs that haven't been used. I think that you must have installed a few programs onto the phone, and that's where your memory has gone.

Sorry, just read the last part of your post, you can install any software AFAIK onto the SD, except for the pic and sound managers and other things that came with the phone/updates.

I was just being clear and explaining that the folder had to do with programs that had not been installed, and not anything to do with de-certing.

You can only view the install folder with all-explorer or if your phone is decerted, smart explorer

Activsync will not see the install file.
