Guest tbrose Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 You can read everything about the unlocking procedure here: http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...light=simunlock Hope this helps...
Guest tbrose Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 Or simply just follow this link: http://www.smart-expert.com/delock.htm - there are instructions with pictures in english....
Guest Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 The posts from tbrose were about SIM unlocking; ie if you want to use your SPV on a network other than Orange. If you mean application unlocking (so you can use unsigned aps) either get Orange to do it for you http://www.developers.orange.com/workingwith/2003/03/04/Unlocking/>here or follow the instructions http://www.coolsmartphone.com/app-cert.htm>here Hope that helps.
Guest jo12 Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Can i send my phone to someone as this is doing my head in, i just dont get what im meant to do.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Which sort of unlocking are you trying to do? is it SIM unlock or Application unlock to run non-certed apps?
Guest jo12 Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 im trying to do the sim unlock, ive killed the wce thing with the task manager how do i know if the phone is in the 3 colours cannary menu, and set in the bootloaders mode
Guest martin Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 how do i know if the phone is in the 3 colours cannary menu errr, because its got three colours :) You have to power the phone off. hold down voice record button and at same time power back on. You will go to a white screen wich says 'press a key to enter bootloader' Don't press a key and it will timeout to the canary screen. To exit the canary screen, hold down the power button for approx 10 secs and the phone will automatically boot up.
