Guest arunhallan Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 what a wiked film! just found out about jean greys "death" its quite fascinating (and man she's hot). any xmen fans here? what'd u think of it? did it do it justice?
Guest siu99spj Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 I think you should mention (in the topic post) that there are spoilers in this thread else you might peeve some peeps. But yep, have watched it. Hell, watched it during its first weekend out! Much much much better than the first one, though must admit wasn't overly happy over the 'death'. Didn't strike as particularly just. Why couldn't she just do it in the plane, eh? Nice big window to stare out of? Also, Wolverines fight was pretty good, until the conclusion. Actually after a promising first half, the second half was almost a disappointment, just didn't quite live up to its promise. But a good film nontheless. Now all we got to do is watch The Matrix Reloaded and hope its as good as the first. Can't wait till the 26th (Earliest I could book, filled up till then!)!!!!!!! :)
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Matrix reloaded should be gr8 !!! i managed to get X-Men 2 on DVD (ripped) last weekend and thought it was gr8 !!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Saw Xmen 2 in its first weekend, i agree with siu99spj about the second half being a bit of a disapointment though. Nice it was made up for with his fight scene ;p
Guest madu Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Some good scenes in the film - animation/FX-wise, otherwise I thought it was a totally rubbish film :) Maybe I just expected much more (not seen first1)..
Guest siu99spj Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Well depends what you're watching it for. The first one was very much a case of "look what we can do with computers" rather than having a coherent storyline. The second had a storyline but could have been so much better. The second half was just spent trying to close all the wonderful storylines (that had been developed in the first half) as quickly as possible. Plus the fact that being a sci-fi nut  I'm easily pleased with these things! Ah well, rolol on the 26th!!! Also can't wait for these call things: T3, Full Throttle (CA2), The Hulk and Matrix Revisited. I am NOT watching Clint Eastmen's clips though. That last Matrix trailer had far too many spoilers! :) But keep up the great work on all those VDub setting Clint! I'll just shy away from the movie trailers.
Guest Big Ron - No Longer a Mem Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Haven't seen it yet... it's still downloading!
Guest ChrisJM Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 i think it was mad!!well havin gone there with my girlfriend and some m8s it was nice 2 have some peace :)
Guest antz Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 Had Jean not been "dead", she would not be able to return in X3! So someone else noticed a strange shining around her befere she disappeared? :) Is it Phoenix? Charles Exavior did not seem at all upset when she went, so I assume is. It's a shame they mangled the characters so much.. I mean Wolverine is Canadian for a start! Jubilee has not surfaced yet, and Beast is non-mutant! (look at name of TV reporter in the bar. That requires you not looking at Mystique). I will now have to wait for X3 to resolve that issue!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 I was thinking Phoenix, especially the suspect shimmering in the water at the very end of the film :)
Guest arunhallan Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 Think its gona go straight to dark phoenix in the next film. Anyone notice gambit on the computer when mystique was doin that hackin stuff
