Guest Neil Clark Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Hi Theres a few things installed on my phone that need removing, is there a format type option? does a hard reset (pressing the 3 keys) remove all programs installed by me? Many thanks Neil
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 A hard reset involves a little more than just pressing 3 keys, but I see what you mean. Anyway, yes, a hard reset will return your phone to it's out-of-the-box state.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 You can go to ProgramSettingsRemove Programs to un-install apps home screens etc that you have installed otherwise a hard reset will take the phone to the "out of the box" state. EDIT I was slow on that reply  :)

Guest Neil Clark Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 When its in "out the box" state has all the extra stuff have been deleted? What can i delete from the phone thats not needed? Neil
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 The hard reset will return it to its original state, so any preinstalled software will return. There isn't much space you can reclaim on the ROM, only IPSMApplication DataHome to clear out any homescreens you don't use and IPSMApplication DataInstall to clear out and .cab's left over from installs (only viewable from Smart Explorer...)
