Guest The unexpected guest ! Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Pics from CeBIT 2003!!! Yahooooooooooooooo!
Guest The unexpected guest ! Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 What is Microsoft Smartphone Ozone OS :?: :) Codename for Smartphone 2003?
Guest Pagemakers Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Don't like it. Aerials are an 80's thing!
Guest superkingdave Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 ugly, hideous, the idea anyone would buy this is ludicrous
Guest Gorskar Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 I think it looks quite cool, but would really like it if a decent non-flip phone with an inbuilt camera came out.
Guest ajb3000 Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Don't forget that it incorporates Bluetooth, Java and Voice Commands. Things the SPV is lacking. As for the aerial, pretty much all flip-phones have an aerial (and this one looks very small).

Guest yatpeak Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Has anyone noticed the sign on the first pic "Inbuilt camera for photo capturing", you'd have to be pretty ignorant for that to be any help to you. I don't like them much, but it's always interesting to see new phones coming out. Wyatt
Guest The unexpected guest ! Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 It's only a prototype powered by Ozone OS (winCE .NET 4.2) which is the futur base for smartphone 2003. Perhaps we will see the Asus smartphone in shop only next year.... :?
Guest yatpeak Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Smartphone 2003 eh, so they're going to make one a year? Wyatt
Guest ajb3000 Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 well as bluetooth isn't in the SP2002 sepcs, it would make sense for it to be running 2003(4?)
Guest spacemonkey Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 To make bluetooth work only necessarily needs a driver rather than a whole new OS I would hope. Like, I don't need a new version of windows just cos I've bought a new type of digital video camera that didn't exist when windows XP came out.
Guest MECX Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 asus make nice motherboards---not sure about phones they look a tab ugly and i bet there huge---just prototypes tho---the more phones that take up the smartphone OS the better in my opinion :)
