Guest terminater2_uk Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Recently had my phone replaced by Orangecare due to a broken screen. Am now having trouble connecting to certain sites and not sure whether its my connection or the phone. I use an o2 sim and previously had no trouble whatsoever connecting to every site I tried. Since getting the new phone, I seem to get certain sites but not others. When trying to connect I get the dialling and connecting message, then suddenly get:"Server error - the server closed the connection while reading the response - please contact the administrator" It even happens on Modaco mobile. Funny thing is, I can connect to Modaco. I can view Help and Advice, Main, etc. But try and view Software topic and I get this message!!!! Other sites I can get are Yahoo, My HSBC bank page, BBC page, but I cannot get Orange Today which is one of my favourites. If i click on Orange help I can view this page and all links on it except the Today link!!!! Sorry the post is so long, any ideas? Is it the fault of Orange, o2, or my phone? :)
Guest martin Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 I put my O2 PAYG sim in a couple of days ago and had the same problems. Don't know what it was. When you get the error, you can still access other addresses OK. It's definately an O2 problem.
Guest terminater2_uk Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Ok cheers, was worried I might have a dodgy handset.
