Mitac releases in June 2003 (in China) Mio 8380 Smartphone

Mitac International, a Taiwan-based Pocket PC and smartphone maker, recently closed a deal with Chinese Electronics Corporation Telecom (CECT) and will begin shipping its Mio 8380 smartphones to the Chinese handset vendor in June.

A Mitac spokeswoman confirmed the news and said CECT will be responsible for marketing the co-branded devices in China.

According to sources, Mitac also plans to sell the smartphone in Taiwan...
