Guest celeborn Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 thnx m8 maybe the hold thing works (i know i'm kinda dumb)
Guest James Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 t9 seems to be i little funny mate. it looses custom words after a reboot.!
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 My t9 has never worked properly. Not ever. Ever.
Guest midnight Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 jlowap, and what facts do you have that it doesnt work after a reboot? :) mine still holds the custom dictionary, and so it should, the t9 custom dictionary is stored in IPSM
Guest ist Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 how do we access the custom dictionary? is it possible to add our own words?
Guest James Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 midnight, yours is working! wow! i had no idea people had working ones! i have read that one persons did not have a working custom dict after reboot so i tested mine and mine did not work after re-boot. so it look like i have assumed incorectly that they all do not work! sorry. celeborn, you might want to test yours then. ist, you just switch to tap mode (abc) and manualy enter the word. the spv will then remember it.
Guest Smoke Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 I have the exact same problem but it's not after reboot. I lose my custom words from t9 at random times. I 've been trying to figure out if it's related to when I synch, but it's not consistent. my custom dictionary stuck around for 4 days, ending today. That's the longest stretch so far....Can we access manually the custom dictionary?
Guest HelloDave Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Can we access manually the custom dictionary? In theory you should be able to, but no one's deciphered the file format the dictionary uses yet! Think Paul mentioned it was a My SQL Db, but i'm not sure.
Guest Scarfman007 Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Mine loses words as well (upon reboot) - bit of a bad bug in the main input method of the phone  ! There must be some different between SPVs where it works and does not ... what it is is beyond my poor brain tho'! Maybe it's different between SPVs unlocked via activesync and those using the official OTA unlock? Or between SPVs that have just had a hard reset and those that have a lot of software installed ('cause theorectically all SPVs should perform the same after a hard reset???)? Anyone any ideas - it's v.annoying?! Scarfman
Guest didio Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 I live in Holland, but I want to have the phone in English instead of dutch, but I want the t9 dictionary in dutch, is this possible?
