I used the unlocked software from lifeetc & followed the steps on unlocking the SPV and got the unlocking code, but after following the last 3 steps:

9) Take the battery off your phone. Then pop in a sim card from another network (Virgin, Vodafone, T-Mobile etc.) Put the battery back on and turn the phone on.

10) The phone should then, after a second or a minute or so ask you for an unlocking code. Enter the code that the program gave you.

11) Voila! You should see a screen saying

On step 10, the phone didn't ask for the unlocking code, but rather starts up normally with NO SERVICE (then network denied, searching). Is there another way to enter code? I live in Canada, I am using Rogers AT&T sim card. Please help me!!!

Thank you so much in advance

Take care, Keith

P.S. How do u know if the phone is unlocked/locked, since mine suppose to be unlocked as the seller claimed, it after appear doesn't accept my Roger AT&T sim card

Moved to Help and Advice.

Have you tried changing the call band type?

Programs > Settings > Telephony > Band Selection.

Hi

The only option in band selection that I have are:

1-GSM/DCS dual band

2-PCS band

I have tried both, but it didn't help. I also should say that the sim card is fine with other GSM phone when tested.

Thanks

I had the EXACT same problem yesterday, and I did a hard reset and everything to fix it. I'm in the US and all I did was change it from GSM to PCS under band selection. Then restart your phone. It should work. Hopefully. I may have been lucky, and so will you hopefully.

Selecting PCS band sure solved the problem. Thank you so much for all the helps.
