how do i save pictures i find whilst on gprs?

I don't think you can :)

There's a workaround, but it's too much of a pain to bother...

For example, you can use IA Album and un-tick 'Hide images in ROM' -> that would then list all the Windows etc images and Temp Internet files too. Not worth the hassle by any count...
