Guest hermanjelmet Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Can someone please explain why everyone raves on about changing from mp3 to WAV. I may be a bit dim, but as far as i can see WAV files take up just as much room. Shouldnt i be using WMA? Or am i missing the point somewhere :?:
Guest fozzie Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I don't think anyone is raving on about converting mp3 to wav. It's just something you need to do if you want to use it as a ring tone :) There's absolutely no point in doing this for audio tracks that you want to listen to on the SPV, given that a 64kb/s 2 pass vbr .wma file is some 22 times smaller than its' equivalent .wav (and not forgetting that there is no increase in quality going from mp3 to wav - just an increase in file size) :(
