Guest Simon Desser Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Any one know why sometimes my SPV creates a folder called "Files to be deleted" and other times it's not there? (I've never seen anything in it) I think I've seen it on the phone and on my SD card. Not important, just wondered?
Guest fraser Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 I'd always assumed that it was something to do with the boot proceedure. Normally you can't modify binaries/files that are in use by the OS, so what most do is to leave hooks into the boot sequence to schedule actions for the next boot. But I'm only guessing!
Guest Richie M Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Has anyone ever seen files in there? Fraser - if it's todo with booting why is there one on the SD?
Guest fraser Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 The whole "file in use" problem would apply to any storage area. I guess if you deinstalled a service that was running, it can't delete the file. Remember, I'm only guessing here! When I first saw it myself, that's what I assumed it was for. You could try putting a random file in there to see what happens...
