Guest ndavey1 Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Hi, when i tried "unchecking" the option for a call to go to answerphone after a certain number of rings (in the call forwarding options), nothing happens. By this I mean you uncheck the option for it to divert, but it automatically turns the option back on. Does anyone know how to do this please, as I can never answer my phone in time before the caller is put on to answerphone! Thanks, Nathan. p.s. sorry for being so long-winded. :?
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 This is a network function. If the phone is failing to set it properly, call your operator to request either : A. that they change it for you, B. that they provide you with a key sequence to press on the phone that will allow you to do so. Option B will look something like this : *65*888*3# <== this one I just made up as an example, it's not valid. Can't remember exactly, haven't done it in years. This is part of the GSM standard, and should work on any phone, any network.
Guest pete1312 Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Sending the following string from your phone will increase the length of time before ansaphone cuts in to 30 seconds, which I understand to be the maximum possible: **61*07973100123*11*30#
Guest ragegames Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 Anyone know what its set to by default? Keep missing mine by a few seconds too! Peter
Guest orange_sandman Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 GSM code to cancel all conditional diverts (eg the one to go to answerphone if you dont answer) is ##002# Not sure how long your phone will keep ringing for though..... might find that after the 30 seconds the caller gets a message to say that your not available please call later.
