Guest eyup Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Hi, firsly if this should be under help i hope a moderator will move it for me;-) anyway i've used SMS Tools before to delete all my inbox and sent items with no problems. However i've just tried to use it again and it has deleted all my sent messages ok but wont delete my inbox, instead it decides only to delete 1 at a time (and i got 100's!!!) anyone had this problem and/or know of a solution? i'll rename/delete the .vol file if necessary but would rather have it sorted so sms tools works again! any ideas? thanks
Guest iMsam Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 i also want to know the walk around on this sms deleting issue
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Have you tried with both settings? ie Inbox and Sent Items, and just Inbox? I would then suggest you try reinstalling SMS tools and if you still have problems try contacting Soyale and see if he can help.
Guest Soyale Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Have you pressed the "refresh" button in the app? Have you tried rebooting your phone? Also don't forget it won't delete eMails! jp
Guest eyup Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 after deleting it and reinstalling it seams to be working! still a bit puzzled it wouldnt before though :-s thanks guys
Guest Soyale Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Keep an eye on it, anything that is unusual (either in the app or something you do) report back! If there's a problem we'd love to fix it. jp
Guest eyup Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 sure. noticed on reinstall that it put it straight to the phones memory and not the storage card. not entirely sure how the .cab works (i.e. does it just install to the folder the .cab is in?) but i had the software on the storage card previously. could that have been the problem? just so i dont make the same mistake again;-)
Guest Soyale Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Rest assured I use it straight from a storage card (256MB Sandisk) and it works OK. I think if you do a reinstall it automatically installs to the same location. jp
