Guest StoutMan Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Where about's is the Orange startup screen located in the phone and what's it called.
Guest madu Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Don't remember the name, it's in Windows If you have IA Album, un-check 'Hide images in ROM' option and you'll see loads of pics - it's one of them
Guest amo Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 can it be changed though? i know that windows restores itself upon reboot but if u manage to replace the original file with one of exact file size, shouldnt it ignore the replacement process for the file???
Guest capt_janeway Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 and the same filename? Would that help?
Guest madu Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 AFAIK it re-writes the whole contents of Windows from ROM. And usually if a check is made for genuinity of the file it uses CRC checksums.. So I very much doubt it :) Is there not a setting in registry?? (I wonder who'd know the answer)
Guest midnight Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 hehe, was someone thinking about me then???? heheh, errr, theres nothing in the registry, either for the sunset screen, or the windows boot screen.
Guest madu Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 OH, almost forgot that you CAN do this, but it means you have to be some super-clever dude like Florin (God'bless'im, where has he been??). You can make ROM backup and then manually edit ROM Image in WinHEX. This des include HEX code and a lot of brainpower. Good luck
