Charging using a Nokia AC Adapter?

Dear all... got my SPV yesterday - luv it.

Gonna get my SD card today (i hope).

I found that the little clip-on charger plug thing also fits a Nokia AC adapter. The voltage on the Nokia is 3.5V and 5V on the provided adapter. I plugged it in (for a split second :? ) and it appeared to charge the unit ok.

Would this be ok :?: - or am i heading for serious trouble  - the Nokia chargers are a little more common "out in the field". Else, i will have to invest in a USB charger i think.

Cheers!

THe nokia chargers have different ratings depending on the size of battery you are charging and how fast you want to charge it. The 3.5v one you have (acp-7x?) is from one of the smaller lower spec phones - i.e. smaller battery. I have 2 nokia chargers (acp-8x) for 6210/7110. The acp-7x will charge a 6210 only will do it more slowly - more of a trickle charge, which should be better for the battery anyway. This *should* also be the case for the spv ... i.e. the higher spec nokia chargers should be fine, and the lower spec ones will just take longer.

I found a while ago that the 3310 charger wont work but the 7210 one charges it fine.
