Hi,

Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the 2 plugins shown below?

Posted

The first one is the "All Day Event" plug-in, usualy used to show Birthdays (note: Outlook on the PC sets these Birthday events) or any events in your calendar that you have set as lasting all day. If there is no all day event it shows nothing.

The second one is the standard "Calendar" plug in, that shows you the next event that day, or "No upcoming appointments" if there are no events set.

Have a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dnsmtphn/html/sp02homescreen.asp?frame=true&_r=1>this page on MSDN, and look at Appendix B Plug-In Reference. Search this page using the clsid for the plug-in that you want to know about.
