Needing some help here, already have an Orange SPV, unlocked and decerted. Have played the emulators, played snails and seen generally what it can do. Was quite happy with it and then I've been offered a P800 for my SPV and £50. Knowing that a lot of people here are pretty much early adopters there must be a few of you who own both phones. So I was wanting to know what the P800 is like in comparison, are the emulators faster, what's the video quality like, what's the overall speed of the phone like..thanks in advance..

Personally, I found the phone in general (p800) quite fast. I loved the fact that the camera is integrated (and a sony erricson rep i know has told me that official software to allow video capture - roughly around 12 second clips will be out in the next 6 weeks).

Touch screen and the text input is a greak gimmik but to be honest, theres time when you miss t9 standard input.

Games wise, the p800 is great, ive played the MIB game and the racing game, as well as standard chess and i loved all three. The integration of the vibrate feature with the games was a great touch.

The main downside is the size. I personally couldnt use it for day to day use but i know people that use it everyday and live with it.

Thanks amo, didn't realise it didn't have T9 though :) Maybe I'll have to persuade my mate to do a swap for a few days and see how it feels. Must admit my main reason for maybe wanting the P800 is for the games and emulators, so I'll see what they're like.

I'm sure we could dicuss processor speed details and software availability, but look at the bigger picture. The P800 is a light PDA, while the SPV is a heavy phone. So you have to think, "do I wan't a PDA that can make calls?" or "do I want a phone with PDA functionality?".
