Guest kroblanx Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 QuickReset is out! This is a simple app that that will power your phone off/on when run. It sure beats holding down the power button twice to reboot your phone. Try it. Get it here: http://www.monolithix.org/SPV_software.html
Guest dinoalbert Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 This is one nice app but check first the discussion here... read my post cause i experienced some problem with it, not sure though if it its only me... http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=58254
Guest kroblanx Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 I'm not sure if the author of this app addressed the issues regarding resets on the thread you posted. On my part, QuickReset doesn't change my settings nor cause registry corruption. It works fine for me.
Guest jologs Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 quick resets doesn't damage the phone "now" but keep on doing it then you'll understand wat dinoalbert is saying... peace.
Guest kroblanx Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Since we're on the topic, something similar to what happened to dinoalbert occured to me BEFORE I installed this app. I turned off my phone using the power button. When I turned the power back on, I noticed that it was taking a much longer time than usual to boot the phone. I tired of waiting and decided to switch it off again but by the time my phone booted, all my settings were gone and the phone was reset to its defaults. Anyway, this hasn't happened ever since but I've yet to know what caused this. The only registry hacks I had installed at the time were SpeedyMenus, SpeedBoost and AnimatedMenus. Hmm..
