Car Kit - Radio Mute

Any of you electronic wizards out there worked out a way of implemen ting a radio mute option for Ora's rather sub-standard car kit yet?

I've now metered all the availabe outputs from the control unit but can't find anything which would be of use to develop a mute circuit.

I'm assuming there must be a way but I'm now stuck. Any help will save me pulling my last few hairs out!!!!!
