Guest homerjuk Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 hi, ive got a new 64mb mmc card, the spv does not see it at all. i've used task an to try and fromat it but just get error --> unable to access sd/mmc card! anyones help would be much appreciated :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 What make of card is it? sandisk? If the phone or activsync will not see the card, your only option is to get a replacement card or get a card reader and see if that helps. ps It's a bit late now but... it's always better to get SD cards as they are more reliable.
Guest homerjuk Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 the make of card is twinmos...i got the card at a comp fair in fareham today...so gettin replacement wont be easy :) have to try and locate someone with a card reader...
Guest Yu_ Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 A card reader shoudl only cost you about £10.00 so it might be worth just getting one.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 Fareham in hants? not far from me :) if it's the computer fair I'm thinking of they sould be in Southampton this Sunday, so the trader could be there. If you give the organisers a call or check their website you may be able to check if they are there.
Guest homerjuk Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 yep fareham in hants....just noticed u from southampton....may take a trip to so'ton this weekend :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 I'm working this week end so I'll miss it :) not been there for a while, I used to be a regular.
Guest lisann Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 I would recommend getting a usb reader/writer. I got one and it enabled me to do a scandisk on my mmc, and enabled me to format it too. Its also a slightly (but not much) quicker way than the data cable to copy mp3's etc onto the card.
