Just wondering which application people have a preference for?

I like the SmartNes one, though thats because I love the orginal Bubble Bobble version it has....

...Ahhh when like was all endless summer holidays.

PS - Is Rainbow Islands available for the Smartphone on any emu? That was the first game I ever completed on the Amiga. :)

To be honest (and I'm biased :) ) I play gnuboy all the time... hack n slash repetative games like pokemon, zelda, and currently dragon warriors monsters are perfect for killing time on the tube...

Currently working on some hopefully major speed changes (just touching too much code so I'm adding lots of bugs ;) ). Can't wait myself.

That's great news, Spacemonkey!

It'd be perfect if it ran a little faster.

I'm just crazy about "Bomberman" and "North and South" on the NES, so I haven't really tried gnuboy that much...

Rainbow islands is available on NES, and very good it is too.

They just don't make games like they use to...

All flash graphics and indepth story lines, give me a dragon blowing bubbles or a young boy that can produce rainbows out his arse anyday...

SmartNes is faster and has decent sound but Gnuboy has got some classic games available. Not too much of a choice for SmartNes IMHO.

Here's an idea...why not get both......and have the luxury of Gnuboy and the speed of the NES. Add NetHack, BoxyPocket, Snake, PocketSnes and the Atari2600 and u've got a nice lil 4 in 1 games console + a few extras !!

I do have both! I was just wondering which one other people thought was better... Now I have the full Taito collection (BB1, BB2, Rainbow Isl. + New Zealand Story) I am content with using SmartNes in the main and using Gnuboy for Bomberman...

:)

Role on the Amiga Emu... (Lotus challenge, Kick Off 2 ahhh heady days)

yup, i'd say the nes emulator is better, simply cos of speed.

as for amiga emulator, hmmmm, that would be nice, but unlikely i'd say, it would run even slower than the gbc emulator. i personally would like to see more original games rather than emulated tho, at least that way they can be designed to make better use of the screen, and run at the speed they are supposed to run at. thats not to say i dont like emulated games (bubble bobble, ghosts and goblins and gradius/nemesis are great on the nes emu)
