Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 You haven't succeeded in properly de-certifying your phone if you are getting that error. The best advice would be to use Orange OTA de-cert. Go to www.developers.orange.com and click "working with Orange", then "un/locking your SPV" and follow the instructions. Make sure you have an open GPRS connection before confirming.
Guest robbielogan Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 unfortunately i cannot use this method as my phone is on t-mobile and locked from orange (long story involved) so you see i have to use this method
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 Locked from Orange...? Your provider is irrelevent. All you need to do is punch your IMEI (call *#06# or look on the sticker under the battery) and the phone number of the SIM you are using. Open a GPRS connection and click ok to unlock...
Guest lutzh Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 if you mean its stolen then you better dont enter your imei. otherwise i can tell you that it even works with a tmobile germany or vodafone germany sim card- your provider is very uninteresting for them at the end of the day... cheers, lutz
Guest Yu_ Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 If it is nicked and the IMEI is blacklisted, then the phone shouldn't work under any sim. IF you have had the IMEI changed then forget it and go buy a proper one... There are other ways to de cert, but I have no intention of pointing anyone with a stolen phone in the right direction.
Guest robbielogan Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 please note i dont have a stolen phone just a huge screw up by orange themselves and i have sorted the problem out now thanks for the advise.
