PLEASE - gonna throw this at the wall!!!

Hi All

Having struggled for three days I can do half of the unlock procedure but can I connect up to my pc during the MS loadup process and copy the two files .... can I f### !! PLEASE there must be a better way: my pc does not connect until after the MS load, then sometimes not at all - why ??

I tried copying the pc files over the phone files but no, it looks like they copy over, but they do not, I cannot delete nor rename the phone files - has anyone managed to copy this over - HOW does the pc connect to the phone???

ANY help would be good before I throw the phone away.....

...why dont you simply go and decertify your spv via the deveolper site here: Orange Group developer site???

its so simple, you know. don't throw your little bird on the wall as long you don't want to use a nokia again...

Thank you for your help, but I cannot follow your suggestions because I am uncertain of the status of my phone - friend of a friend then hacked some - but I got it free because nobody could make it work.

I get it to boot up ok (Im using dechelp to push the file into the phone from my pc repeatedly I assume).

It loads up recognizing my Vodaphone sim and displaying that in the place on the phone where it used to display Radio off.

Then it asks me for my sim code - I got all this and now keyed it in and now unlocked and on Vodaphone .... hurray

..... sigh .... worked well, all ok made a few calls, tried changing home pic and somehow lost the shortcut and couldnt get to program>other>settings

thought I would switch off/on - reverts now to radio off (ie no network)

anyone with ideas??
