Paul, can you confirm Smartphone 2003? :)

I don't think smartphone 2003 is gonna be a huge difference from what we're using right now, I'd definitely expect full compatability of apps. Look at the specs of the phone. Same resolution, color depth etc, this implys to me that the major elements will be consistent, more like the move from Palm OS 3-4, just adding other supported features like bluetooth etc native to the OS.

Just my call tho, I don't actually know anything :)

Sounds reasonable... but aren't we tooting our own horn? :)

Is that a colour screen I see on the front...?

But it's has a flip lid!

And that camera on the front, firstly, it's on the lid, so it probably wont be straight when opened, and it will probably be constantly being accidentally touched.

I'd wait till they came out with a phone shaped like the SPV/Tanager.

Somebody's bound to bring out a normal phone that is not a flip with smartphone 2003

I think the most important thing about this phone (apart from the fact that it's pig ugly!) is this little word in the specs below the photo:

Bluetooth

The new OS looks in line with MS's .NET strategy... which means good development tools (i.e. VS.NET 2003).

200mHz sounds quite good but there's something about a clamshell.....

Still prefer SPV or SPVx!:-)
