Guest Myke Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 they dont come with one, are there any available? i would be discouraged against buying an SPVX if i find out there isnt a cradle to go with it. the USB plug is annoying enough on the SPV trying to plug and unplug
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 Our members from the Philippines do, dont' forget the SPVx is not released so some people may not realise it is also called the Tanager and SAP
Guest skimask Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 Are you telling me that the connection is different to that of the SPV/Canary? That's odd
Guest Will Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 afaik, the connection is the same, (as in pin positions and the physical connector, but the shape of the base of the phone means it will not fit into an spv cradle or vice versa. Will
Guest Myke Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 so it doesnt fit in an SPV cradle and it doesnt come with a cradle... thats L A M E! popping my spv in its cradle that is happily sitting on my desk is one of my favorite features! Something about having to plug a cord into the poorly designed usb connector doesnt appeal to me. and how am i sopose to watch my sweet fish tank screen saver!
Guest Pagemakers Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I have both phones. The Tanager comes with the cable but not the cradle. The Tanager and SPV charging cable ARE interchangeable, but the Tanager will NOT fit into the SPV's charging cradle.

Have you noticed (on mine anyway) that the SPV camera won't fit in the Tanager, but the Tanger's camera will fit the SPV? (The Tanager camera doesn't have that little rubber seal)
Guest Pagemakers Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I haven't tried that and I am just about to post off my 2 SPV's to new homes. Both sold in 4 hours!!!
Guest Tosh Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 If the SPVx/Tanager won't fit into the SPV Cradle, can anyone confirm that it will fit the incar unit? Tony
Guest Simon Desser Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 If the SPVx/Tanager won't fit into the SPV Cradle, can anyone confirm that it will fit the incar unit? Tony Yeah, it works fine with the incar unit (Check out Gears' review here using a Tanager)
