Hi,

hopefully this will be kinda useful to somebody - I know it is for me! Basically there are a whole load of .cue sheet generators around to create that playlist from CD exactly as it was meant to be, with tracklistings from freedb etc. (exactaudiocopy is my favourite)

Problem is, cue sheets are for .MP3 and I have currently settled on .WMA format - 2 pass 64Kbps variable :) - but can't manage to get a playlist sorted from the CD if I rip the continuous mix as one single file... so with some regular expressions I can now convert them from a php page here:

http://www.coruscation.net/cue2asx.php

Feel free to use/comment etc.

Standard .cue format works - haven't tried anything else e.g.

PERFORMER "James Zabiela"

TITLE "GTDJ001 - Mixed By James Zabiela"

FILE "01_gtdj001_(mixed_by_james_zabiela).mp3" MP3

TRACK 01 AUDIO

TITLE "Erotic Sardines - Creating Living (Prime Time TV Mix)"

INDEX 01 00:00:00

TRACK 02 AUDIO

TITLE "Vinyl Line - West Station"

INDEX 01 07:45:37

TRACK 03 AUDIO

TITLE "Wally Lopez & Dr. Kucho pres. La Factoria - Devil Square"

INDEX 01 12:34:16

cheers,

gus

[edit]forgot to say of course this format works best with WMA files even though the example above is MP3[/edit]
