unlocking spv to pay as you go

Im going out of the country for 6 mths, is it possible to put a foreign pay as you go sim into the spv, is there an unlocking procedure, if so how ??

dont know if im being thick or something, but instructions tell u to end task on WCESCOMM" or "WCESCOMM.exe... well i dont get that in task manager, so when i run the unlock programme i get ........

Cannot access the phone (verify that WCESCOMM is terminated and the phone is in

bootloader mode) - aborting

any aidea ???

Hi guys, I am in a problem. I have an SPV which is working fine so far (fingers crossed), I got a friend with an SPV and when we turn it on without a SIMCARD it says " this device is locked please enter unlock code" even when we try to HARD RESET it it doesnt go to the menu where it gives the option of erase IPSM. How do we unlock it? It says it is locked even without a SIM. Do we just follow the normal UNLOCKING process or is there some other way?

No hard resetting involved.

Nesh: wcescomm should be in the processes list in task manager. Then press and hold record and power your phone on, left it for a few seconds and it will go into a 3-colour Canary screen (the bootloader). At this point plug it into your cradle and run the simunlock.exe
