Backing up single registry keys - possible?

I customized a lot of keys in my registry but want to do a hard reset soon (just to clean up my Windows :) ) Is there a way to save the registry keys I changed (as .reg files or whatever) so that I don't have to re-enter them after the big reset? I am using the PHM Registry Editor.

if you are interested i have a little app which you can 'load up' with your reg keys using notepad, and then it will make all the mods for you automatically?

PS: PHm RegEdit can only backup reg files, but restore does not work due to some OS limitations apparently...
