Guest LEGGYMAMBO Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Hi all, posted this mesage on the msn newsgroup and got no joy so hopefully someone here will be able to help :- Formatted all my contacts telephone numbers in outlook with the couple of utilities going around. They are all now in the following format :- +44 7977111111, +44 7977222222 etc. However should I wish to dial a number from the home screen, typing 07977 instead of +447977, cos basically its easier, it shows no contacts in my list whatsover. This works on all numbers. Surely the phone should recognise both formats, as all my previous phones have. Is this a bug, or is there something i've missed somewhere? Another problem is for example I may have 3 people with the same work number on my phone within my contacts. When I start to type this number only 2 of the 3 contacts show up on the list. Again, is this a bug, or is there a workaround? Yes, Ive checked and checked again to make sure that the numbers i've inputted are correct! These problems have nothing to do with SMS whatsoever! Any help would be much appreciated, Cheers, Craig
Guest Brody Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 To find a person in your phonebook you don't type in the phone number, you type in their name in the t9 predictive text manner, its very powerful once u get the hang of it!! So to find Brody i wuld type 2,7,6,3,9 Although i wouldn't type it all as it would have filtered my name before the end!! Hope this helps!
