Guest macroft1 Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Can anyone tell me how to avoid bursting my eardrum when an outgoing call doesn't connect?
Guest madu Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 EDIT: See post below for CAB-solution (no need to use PHM RegEdit), but phone must be decerted.
Guest macroft1 Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 I might be a little dim but where do I find that PHM?
Guest martin Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 There's also 'in-call alert volume' in Settings-Accessibility.
Guest madu Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Is your phone decertified? If not go to OTA then as described below. If decertified then download the EarSaver and run it. Restart. maduEarSaver.CAB
Guest dinoalbert Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 why what happens when an outgoing call doesnt connect? what is this EarSaver for?
Guest madu Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 You get a LOUD annoying sound that is LOUD and annoying! :) This removes that sound...
Guest Xpressive Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 You don't need to install any .cab programs -just go to your 'Settings' menu and adjust the volume there. Since I am running a german interface, I can't tell you what option exactly -in german, it's Einstellungen -> Eingabehilfen -> Hinweis bei Anruf (Volume setting 1 is fine -you'll still hear it, but it's not too loud) Mike
Guest madu Posted June 23, 2003 Report Posted June 23, 2003 Agreed. The only problem is that the sound is actually controlled by system volume as well as. So when you adjust volume from homescreen with side volume buttons or change volume to max in a call, next time it is gonna be loud. IT's like the bling sound in New SMS when To: field is clicked, but this one unfortunately is hard coded into OS.
