Guest davidhorn Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Hi Everyone, I need a hand to test the new games database which is going to power SmartGamer.org (and possibly PocketGamer.org, if I ever get around to doing it.) I've got the basic framework in place, now I need to fine tune things and add items like a search page. Unfortunately, I need entries in the database to check that things are working properly, and since I can't ask real developers to add their games, I need other people to add bogus games to check the system works. Don't do anything too fancy, since the database will be purged in a few weeks ready for the real developers. To get started, sign up for an account at http://www.smartgamer.org/forums/generalsb...s/add_developer Don't bother entering a real email address; this is for confirmation emails and the like but isn't working yet, so stick [email protected] or something similar in instead. Once you've done that, head off to the developer control panel and add a few games. You'll have to refresh the main page after you've added your game to get it to show up at this time. Finally, visit www.smartgamer.org/forums/gameindex.php and follow the steps there to see your games... at the moment, a few categories might not work. You can also get to these pages by choosing the links from the menu in the header. And Mozilla users, sorry, you're out of luck on this one. Thanks!!
Guest davidhorn Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 It's not too bad if you have Livewire, but the tables are the wrong sizes. You could try replacing the link http://www.smartgamer.org/general.php?page=sfsdf with http://www.smartgamer.org/generalsb.php. That doesn't show the sidebar. The menu also works in Livewire, but not in any other version.
