Guest mad4it Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 With my current Nokia, I have an adapter that fits inbetween the phone and the battery, and it allows me to have 2 SIMs in the one phone, switching from one to the other. Does anyone know if this could be done with the SPV (assuming the 2 SIMs are for different networks (I understand you can have 2 phone numbers to one phone with the likes of Orange?) Also, if there is an adapter, would anyone know if the phone could then fit nto a full hands free car kit? My Nokia one didn't which I foulnd really annoying and made me stop using the adapter. Thanks
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 There is no adapter available for the SPV as of yet, however with Orange you can have a second line activeted on your original SIM card (Line 2).
Guest madu Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 There's not enough space between battery and phone, and so far i have not heard of a similar solution for SPV. But i know why the Nokia_ did not fit - see this Nokia link! :)
Guest RS Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 The first company that makes and markets a phone that accepts 2 sim cards out of the box will make a fortune. Would make my life easier!
Guest madu Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 This phone would in fact need to have 2 GSM radios - ie 2 phones in 1 :)
Guest pisquee Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 There is at least phone company in northern europe that makes phones with 2 and 3 sim slots in. So they are available, but, obviously these products will not get endorsed (subsidised etc) by a network in the UK as it means they won't get all of the money from your calls.
