You 2 are attending the Hatfield Uni? What courses are you doing?

I was there a number of years ago, only for a year, I was living in Roberts Way (No 41), we got a bit of reputation in our house and it all sorta went downhill from there. After waking up from getting wasted for a year I transfered to Watford's West Herts College and got some work done (just) :)

I remember organising a big ole rock/metal party in the elehouse, how is the ole place?

Hey!!! Its not too bad thx!! The ele and the font bar are still open but they're building a whole new campus in Hatfield near the Galleria and bringing all of the other campuses apart from the one in StAlbans to Hatfield so Hatfield'll be even more full of students!

We were in Chapman Hall (above the laundry in Kitchen 26) and got a bit of a reputation in our first year as well for attacking other kitchens with food and hair gel :)

So what course were u studying...?

Sorry for the delay in replying, scatty moment.

I was doing Software Systems for the Arts and Media, I was on it the 2nd year it was running and it was shite because of that fact. In fact the whole place seems to be getting better last time I went past it, places always improve after I have left them, someone trying to tell me something :? I was there in 96/97 (I think, it's all starting to fog over a bit now  )

Ahhh, chapman hall I remember that place, me and a mate absailed down the front of it at high speed, I think it was late at night and we had to do a runner from security, can't remember why we wanted to do it in the first place.

ukpauls and I built up a bit of a reputation for throwing food as it happens  I remember playing carrot darts (into a drain on the floor from the third floor!) and onion golf (out of the window onto the laundry roof aiming for another drain cover!) on top of attacking other kitchens with hair gel and other food stuffs but we managed to get away without being fined until the last night that we went out!! Typical! And all because a bag of flour ended up over our kitchen floor and out of the window onto the kitchen below's windows (it then rained and went hard :? ) Ah well, i miss halls now!!

LOL, I know how that is, we got to a point where we knew we weren't going to get our deposits back s9o we decided to make sure we got our monies worth of damage. I dunno about my room but my 6Cell maglite was a bit battered afterward.

I think I still owe for 2 semesters rent as well, those grants never went far.

Do the student Union still put the foam parties on?

No foam parties any more and we don't get grants either, just loans!!!! Bloody government!!

Wait until you see how much interest you pay a month on your loan, its terrifying. Just started paying back mine now too.

No more money, good job I signed up to Modaco beforehand

Glad I've paid mine off. It was a case of paying them off or not earning above the national average until I was retirement age so I wouldn't have to pay them off at all, couldn't wait that long though, too many toys to buy

But its only at the rate of inflation isn't it??

Yeah it's not a huge amount of interest but it did come as a shock when I got my first job after graduating and had to start paying £40 back a month on top of the other debts. Less time, less interest, can't stand being debt now, I have my student days to thank.

Was on campus yesterday, popped down to the art block at the front to see my mates end-of-year exhibition. If you go down there his is the film that is on the ground level blaring out with celtic music, good film passes 10 minutes or so

I was in the uni on thursday as well!! My housemate was there as well as she did fine art. She did things like changing the name of films to say what their hidden meanings are (e.g. She's All That Now as opposed to She's All That and so on..).
