Guest Tosh Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Great value, especially for MoDoCo Plus members. Has anyone used the full version yet, and can report on it please? Tony
Guest spacemonkey Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 I've got the full version and I can say that this thing is fantastic... It only takes up about 8Mb on your storage card and runs really nice and quick and it has some really obscure words in there including full definitions. This is a must buy... I've stopped using dictionary.com now that this is on my phone.
Guest Brody Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Paul: Any news on how long it will be available?? I'm waiting on my credit card being delivered!!
Guest fozzie Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Spacemonkey, is it UK based or US based? I'm thinking mainly for the spelling e.g. does it have 'color' or 'colour' or both? Thanks.
Guest Simon Desser Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 I'm thinking mainly for the spelling e.g. does it have 'color' or 'colour' or both? Thanks. It shows both along side each other, like this.Color.jpg
Guest Brody Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 What's the logo in the top of your screen with a phone handset and a figure??
Guest Simon Desser Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 sorry david beat me to it, i'm on my mobile
Guest fozzie Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 It shows both along side each other, like this. Bugger - you've gone and cost be $13-99! There surely can't be any more software out there for me to buy (with the exception of ClearVue, RocketElite...........) :)
Guest Vector Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 sorry david beat me to it, i'm on my mobile :)
Guest fozzie Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Ok, installed and regged - this is definitely the puppy's parts :) I agree with Spacemonkey. This is going to be a well used app. Even better value with the MoDaCo Plus extra discount :( Edit: Top tip (unless I've got dodgy eyes) - try turning the 'Enable Clear Type' option OFF. I think the text seems clearer. Anyone else agree?
Guest Tosh Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Okay persuaded - bought and paid for! Will test over the weekend - a new toy whilst heading for match at Cardiff on Monday. Tony :)
Guest revolution.cx Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 It should be off by default. Maybe it isn't. ClearType on the SPV looks terrible. Edit: Â Top tip (unless I've got dodgy eyes) - try turning the 'Enable Clear Type' option OFF. Â I think the text seems clearer. Â Anyone else agree?
Guest fozzie Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 hmmm, pretty certain it wasn't on mine - hence my suggestion to turn it off! Maybe someone else can check? Can't be bothered with uninstalling, clearing registry and reinstalling :|
Guest vijay555 Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Guys, i've just bought the full version as well (Thanks revolution/Paul!) but i've posted in the catologue: i _like_ the random word find cripple of the unregistered version. I'd like an option so i can expand my vocab by playing randomly  Anyone else? V ps: i love the app too. Superb productivity software: keep it up people!
Guest revolution.cx Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Thanks for the comments. That's an often requested feature that will be in a future version (along with a word of the day feature that integrates with the home screen). Hayes (Lextionary developer/publisher). Guest Paul [MVP] Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Word of the day feature sounds very cool! P
Guest fozzie Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Word of the Day on the homescreen would be cool. You can spend ages flitting around this app picking up new words
Guest almark Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Is there any way of buying this by credit card rather than paypal?
Guest Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 But, setting up a Paypal account can be a right royal pain in the ****. "Please enter the code that is shown for this transaction from your card statement to activate your account". Glad I have internet banking and didn't need to wait for my statement!
